CONDITIONING, STORAGE & FINAL STORAGE OF RADIOACTIVE WASTE

The seminar will focus on conditioning processes for the treatment of radioactive waste and its characterization (radiological and material). The requirements for the qualification of radioactive waste for the Konrad repository, including the presentation of product control measures, will be discussed. Furthermore, the current status of site selection for the final disposal of heat-generating waste is discussed.

- Post-qualification of old waste
- Final disposal in various host rocks
- An excursion will take place on the last day (details will follow after registration).
